Actually,
I decided to create a "red" painting on the morning that I started this
piece. Using a paper machier packing construct, I "printed" the red
figures in the foreground, following up with the orange flame/smear.
Then I began the background...ending with the bright blue halo.
When I finished, I recognized the initial red figures resembled vague calligraphy, at once ancient, alien, and "modern"--like computer binary. There was a clear rhythm as well as the sense of "meaning." With these elements "floating," red-on-red, the calligraphy became a chant--with a high-energy spiritual orb resulting...ergo, the title.
