This is a small fragment from a damaged painting, Tattoo I,
which was cracked when I accidentally banged it against a railing,
before it was safely mounted. Every accident is an opportunity,
though, and this small sector of the larger composition takes on its
own life in separation. I named it Kachina after the color aesthetic
and the "spiritual" energy.
