This painting was
supposed to be another in the series that investigated the theme of
calligraphic forms with inclusions. But here, I got involved with an
iconic, mythic depiction, rather than the more general sense of writing
or words. This is one of the few of my works that was titled before it
was begun. There is a small, silver feather in the darkest corner of
the bottom of the chamber/box--"hope."
