One could posit that
my painting technique can only produce surreal art, given the "blind,"
inexact, and intuitive qualities of the experience. These pieces
contain more of the visual vocabulary that is associated with the term,
"surrealism."
When I was
young, I learned violin (and viola) and piano--I also had a brief encounter with a cornet. I was
never very good at any of them--I hated to practice. However, my time with those
instruments gave me a relationship to the objects as well as the music.
Music and the objects that produce it, are the perfect cues for my exploration into surrealism. The journey has just begun.
